We Skied Lutsen the weekend before Christmas- Dec. 22-3. We found the conditions to be decent- despite the lack of natural snow. Moose and Eagle Mountains were a bit icy at times- but overall well groomed and negotiable. Our biggest disappointment was that the gondola was closed and after much questioning there is no certain date for re-opening gondola service. Which is somewhat of a pain because the traverse back from Moose is a drag- very flat with a lot of polling for skiers and walking for boarders.
